Artist Biography

Every week as a teenager, Heather would walk from school down to the town green to take private art lessons. Using all of her weekly allowance on the tutoring because even at that age, art was her passion. With help of private art tutoring, Heather completed Art 'A' Levels in England two years early. Since she grew up in Europe travel to different counties was only a few hours drive away. This instilled her wanderlust for travel. Later Heather studied Architecture and Building Engineering in the USA, all the while refining her painting. For the past 20 years Heather has lived in the USA and continues to paint. Now that her children are adults, she travels much more and paints her adventures. Sometimes the works are created en-plein-air and other times she works in her studio from her photographs.

Heather often hikes through National Parks and nature trails. Her impressionist style has purposeful plays of light. She captures the feeling of a place visited. Her creative expression brings her love of natural beauty to your home. Heather gives back to preserve the land and the environment. Your purchase makes a difference.

I paint the feeling of a place. To share gorgeous serene vistas is spiritually up lifting. It is my passion to travel and show the beauty of the world that needs to be protected.

Artist Statement

We are all connected and surrounded by beautiful places. Being outside in nature is good for the body and soul. Whether I’m working en plein air or or on large paintings in the studio, I bring the outside in with my paintings. Too often in today’s busy world we are shown through media what is wrong with this world. My goal and passion is to bring awareness of the beauty on this planet and the importance to protect it. I hike through National Parks and on nature trails. My impressionist style captures the color, emotion and feeling experienced in a place that I have visited.
