In June I traveled to Vermont with two amazing women in an RV. A long weekend away from husbands and kids was the perfect treat combined with laughs and a Plein Air Event.
Say Cheese..... we toured the Cabot Cheese factory none-the-less. Ate non-dairy Ben and Gerry's Ice Cream. I can't eat dairy any more, but back in the day I lived off ice cream when I attended a Vermont college.
Combining travel with two friends and a en-plein-air painting festival was a great way to spend the weekend. In an afternoon fraught with rain, wind and humid conditions, I was able to finish three paintings. It wasn't hard to find great subjects for the paintings as everywhere I looked there was countryside scenery of rolling hills and farm animals. Two of the paintings are for sale on my website. The camaraderie among artists and a variety of perspectives in art led to a fun day. One of the painting was exhibited in the gallery.
Check out my video of the weekend highlight. (Yes, it took six hours to get there when it should have taken three! It was an adventure...The sway bar on the RV broke making the vehicle wiggle if we went too fast)
